Niamh is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department . She practices in the area of commercial litigation with considerable experience in contract related disputes, professional indemnity and building contract disputes.

Niamh has built up considerable expertise in marine litigation in particular admiralty law, collision cases and transport/CMR claims. She has represented a number of major Professional and Indemnity Clubs ( P&I Clubs ), port authorities and ship-owners.

She also has significant experience in aviation litigation and has acted for a number of international airlines. She has wide ranging experience in dealing with complex Warsaw/Montreal Convention cases, denied boarding claims and passenger/third party personal injury litigation.

Niamh’s other area of practice is contentious and non-contentious employment law where she represents international and domestic corporates in all areas of employment law.

Before Niamh joined LK Shields Solicitors in March 2008 she was a partner in the dispute resolution department of another leading law firm in Dublin.
