On July 4th, 2007, the Supreme Court delivered a landmark decision in proceedings involving our client, Fitzwilton Limited, and the Members of the Mahon Tribunal.

The unanimous decision of the Supreme Court overturned a judgment of the High Court, delivered in December, 2006. In its unanimous decision the Supreme Court (per Judge Denham) held that the Mahon Tribunal had not complied with its amended terms of reference and, consequently, had no jurisdiction to proceed to hold a public hearing in relation to the Fitzwilton Group's political contribution to Fianna Fáil made in June, 1989.
