LK Shields Solicitors advised construction supplies company, Acheson & Glover, based in Tyrone, on the Irish aspects of the acquisition from Readymix plc of its Finlay Breton precast concrete business, with operations in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain. The consideration was €49,000,000 in cash.

Finlay Breton operates two plants in the Republic of Ireland, based in Blessington and Waterford.

Partner Gerry Halpenny in the Business Department led the team, with backing from a number of colleagues in various departments, Partner Fiona Thornton, Pensions and Employee Benefits, and Associates Zelda Deasy in the Business Department and Gillian Dully in the Employment, Pensions and Employee Benefits Unit.
