Landmark Supreme Court Decision:
Restriction of Non-Executive Director Overturned
on 1 February 2008.
On 1 February 2008 the Supreme Court delivered a landmark decision
in proceedings involving our client, Simon Coyle, and the liquidator
of Tralee Beef & Lamb Limited (in liquidation).
The unanimous decision of the Supreme Court overturned a judgment
of the High Court delivered in 2004. The decision has been widely
reported as of significance to all directors, and, in particular,
non-executive directors of Irish corporate entities.
