We acted for the Vendors in relation to the sale of the entire issued share capital in Alchemy Software Development Limited to Transperfect Translations International, Inc. (trading as Translations.com)

Alchemy is a software development company based in Dublin with offices in Germany and the US. It is the world's largest provider of visual localization technology. Its flagship technology product, Alchemy CATALYST is used by 80% of the world's largest software development companies.

Translations.com is headquartered in New York with 50 offices worldwide and is a global leader in software localization and Globalisation Management System (GMS) technology solutions.

In the press release issued by Alchemy Software Development Limited on 6 March 2008 Alchemy stated "a key client benefit of the merger will be the integration of their complementary technologies".

Marco Hickey, Partner in the Business Department, led the transaction with assistance from Associates Jennifer Adams in the Business Department and Gillian Dully in the Employment, Pensions and Employee Benefits Unit.
