LK Shields Solicitors acted for Veolia Environmental Services (Ireland) Limited in its acquisition of the licensed hazardous waste processing company AVR Safeway Limited.

AVR Safeway (soon to be re-branded as Veolia Environmental Solutions Technical Services) manages approximately 65,000 tonnes of hazardous waste in Ireland.

It operates Ireland's largest fuel blending plant and supplies secondary fuel to cement kiln and power stations as an alternative to fossil fuel.

This transaction was led by Gerry Halpenny, Partner in the Business Department, along with Gerry O' Hanlon, Partner in the Commercial Property Department and Associates Zelda Deasy and Gillian Dully in the Business Department.
